70 sitters, 140 watercolour portraits (two each), currently working from texts and recordings produced by artist and sitter following the sittings. Initially conceived by the artist to explore the ‘progress’ of transition from dormant to active painter, the narrative reveals discussions whose topics range from sitting, looking, talking and picturing, to the experience of living with political and economic change in the arts and public sectors.
